Terms of Use

These Terms of Use ("Terms") are an agreement between you and Mobile Alchemy ("we", "us") governing your use of the Trued application for iPhone, iPad and Mac and the Trued web app at trued.mobilealchemy.co/app (together, "the App"). By downloading or using the App you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

1. License

We grant you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use the App on Apple devices that you own or control, and to use the web app in your browser, for your personal, non-commercial use, in accordance with these Terms and, for the App Store apps, Apple's App Store terms. Where these Terms do not state otherwise, Apple's standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement applies to the App Store apps.

You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, rent or lease the App, reverse engineer or attempt to extract its source code, except to the extent such restrictions are prohibited by applicable law.

2. Free tier, subscriptions and purchases

The App Store apps are free to download and include demo rifle profiles with full solver functionality. Premium features — including unlimited rifle profiles and night vision mode — are unlocked by an in-app purchase, offered as either:

An auto-renewing subscription. Payment is charged to your Apple Account at confirmation of purchase. The subscription automatically renews unless it is cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period; your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period. You can manage and cancel subscriptions in your App Store account settings at any time. Cancelling stops future renewals; fees already paid are non-refundable except as required by law or Apple's policies.
A one-time lifetime purchase that permanently unlocks premium features on your Apple Account.

App Store purchases are processed by Apple. Prices may vary by region and may change; any change to a subscription price takes effect no earlier than your next renewal, following notice through the App Store. Refund requests are handled by Apple under Apple's refund policies.

On the web. The web app is free to use with the demo rifle profiles. Trued+ on the web — your own rifle profiles and truing — is sold separately from App Store purchases, as a monthly or yearly auto-renewing subscription or a one-time lifetime purchase, with payment processed by Stripe. The price, including any tax, is shown at checkout. Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each period until you cancel, which you can do at any time with Manage subscription in the web app; cancellation takes effect at the end of the period you have paid for. Each purchase comes with a license key: keep it private, because anyone with the key can use your purchase. If you lose it, email us from the address you paid with. Web and App Store purchases are separate and do not unlock each other. Refunds for web purchases are handled under applicable law; contact us if something went wrong with a purchase.

3. Safety and accuracy disclaimer

Ballistic calculations are estimates. Firing solutions produced by the App are mathematical predictions based on the data you enter and standard ballistic models. Real-world results vary with ammunition, rifle, optic, atmosphere and shooter. Always confirm your zero and verify solutions with live fire at a supervised range before relying on them.

The App is a calculation aid only. It is not a substitute for safe firearm handling, proper training or your own judgment. You are solely responsible for the safe and lawful use of any firearm, for positive target identification, and for compliance with all laws and regulations that apply to you. We are not liable for any injury, damage or loss arising from the use of, or reliance on, the App or its calculations.

4. Acceptable use

You agree to use the App only for lawful purposes. You may not use the App in any manner that violates applicable law, or attempt to interfere with, disrupt or gain unauthorized access to the App or its associated services.

5. Bullet and equipment data

The App includes a database of bullet, cartridge and equipment data compiled from publicly available manufacturer specifications. This data is provided for convenience and is not guaranteed to be accurate, complete or current. Verify critical values against your ammunition and equipment documentation.

6. Disclaimer of warranties

THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE", WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ACCURACY AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE APP WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE OR THAT CALCULATIONS WILL MATCH REAL-WORLD RESULTS.

7. Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, MOBILE ALCHEMY SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR ANY LOSS OF DATA, PROFITS OR GOODWILL, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE APP, INCLUDING RELIANCE ON ANY CALCULATION. IN ALL CASES OUR TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID FOR THE APP IN THE TWELVE MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain exclusions or limitations, so some of the above may not apply to you.

8. Termination

These Terms are effective until terminated. Your rights under these Terms end automatically if you fail to comply with them; upon termination you must stop using the App and delete all copies. We may discontinue the App or any feature at any time.

9. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The current version will always be posted on this page with its effective date. Continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
