Privacy Policy

Trued is built privacy-first: no accounts, no ads, no selling of personal data. This policy explains the little data the app does touch, and why. Trued is operated by Mobile Alchemy ("we", "us").

In short: there is nothing to sign up for. Your rifle profiles and settings stay on your device (in the web app, in your browser). App Store purchases are processed by Apple and validated by Adapty using device identifiers, not your identity. Web purchases are processed by Stripe, the one place we receive an email address.

1. No accounts

Trued has no registration, login or user accounts. The apps do not collect your name, email address, phone number, contacts or location. Your rifle profiles, loads and settings are stored locally on your device and are removed when you delete the app. The web app keeps them in your browser's local storage instead; clearing the site's data removes them. The one exception to "no email address" is buying Trued+ on the web (section 2).

2. Purchases

All purchases — subscriptions and the one-time lifetime unlock — are processed entirely by Apple through your Apple Account. We never see or store your payment details. Apple's handling of your payment information is governed by Apple's own privacy policy.

Web purchases are processed by Stripe, which collects your payment details and email address; we never see your card number. We receive and store your email address, a Stripe customer reference and the plan and status of your purchase, together with your license key, so that Trued+ keeps working, so we can help if you lose your key, and to keep the records the law requires. Stripe's handling of your information is governed by Stripe's privacy policy.

3. Subscription validation (Adapty)

To know whether premium features should be unlocked on your device, the app uses the Adapty SDK to validate purchase receipts with the App Store. For this purpose Adapty processes:

This data identifies a device's purchase state, not you as a person. No personal data is sold to anyone, and we do not use this data for advertising or cross-app tracking.

4. Analytics

Our analytics are limited to purchase events — for example, that a trial started, a subscription renewed or a lifetime unlock was purchased — so we can understand whether the app sustains its own development. We do not track your in-app behavior, your ballistic data or your solutions, and the app contains no advertising or ad SDKs.

5. Data stored on your device

Everything that matters to shooting stays local: rifle and load profiles, environment inputs, unit preferences and the bullet database. The app works fully offline; ballistic data updates are downloaded anonymously from our server when a connection is available, and no personal information is sent in that process.

The web app is different in one respect: its calculations run on our server. The rifle data and conditions for each calculation (including a latitude, if you use Coriolis) are sent over an encrypted connection, used to compute the solution and not stored. Our hosting provider, Cloudflare, processes technical data such as IP addresses to deliver the website and web app, prevent abuse and limit request rates.

6. Who data is shared with

These parties are involved in operating the app, each acting as a processor for the limited purposes above:

We do not sell, rent or trade any data, personal or otherwise, to data brokers, advertisers or any other third party.

7. Children

The App is intended for adult shooters and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect any personal information from children.

8. Your choices

Because the app keeps your data on your device, deleting the app deletes your data. You can manage or cancel subscriptions in your App Store account settings. If you have questions about data held by Adapty for your device's purchase validation, contact us and we will help.

On the web, clearing your browser's data for trued.mobilealchemy.co removes your profiles and license key from that browser, and Manage subscription in the web app cancels a web subscription. To have the purchase record tied to your email address deleted, contact us; we may need to keep some records for legal and tax reasons.

9. Changes to this policy

If our data practices change, we will update this page and its effective date before the change takes effect. Material changes will also be noted in the app's release notes.
